Course Description
On completion of the CASR Part 145 Awareness Course you should be able to:

• - Define the role of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)
• - Define the role of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA)
• - Define the relationship between Parts 145, 66, 147 and 42
• - Define the CASA relationship with other National Aviation Authorities
• - Identify requirements of Part 66 certifying staff
• - Identify CASA Part 145 regulatory requirements
• - Evaluate the regulatory requirements for certification under CASA
• - Define ‘category’ certification and ‘class’ certification under CASA for a maintenance organisation
• - Describe how the certificate of Airworthiness Categories are regulated by CASA, and
• - Describe CASA Part 42 regulatory requirements.
